| A good horse, well packed, good trails and good company are all you need to catch the suns rays at dawn or sundown, or book a longer tour and experience first hand the solemn majesty of wilderness in Riding Mountain National Park. This rolling western landscape is a place that has among the greatest natural diversity of plant and animal life in Canada. It's an area large enough for rare lynx, wolf, and thousands of elk, moose, and deer to survive. |
 | Experience the long and rustic history of horseback exploration on your own private journey. Enjoy great meals prepared over open fires. Join in the chores at the end of the day, as camp is set up along Kinnis Creek, Gunn Creek, Gunn Lake, Whitewater Lake, or in the Sugarloaf Hills. See wild streams and lakes that are home to bald eagles, hawks, and osprey.
Riding Mountain National Park was designated a Biosphere Reserve in 1986. Your tour participation is most welcome to maintain public awareness of such a unique and sensitive environment.
"...a day in the wilderness is a day spent as guest in the home of wild creatures great and small , a journey into flowering meadows, past marshes teaming with life. It is quiet entry into ancient and impressive timber stands, where woods become patterns of deep forest shade, glowing sun, and pristine blue lakes.
Nights become cool, dark mysteries in Nature's nocturnal wilderness, as songs and sounds drift, alive, met with the crackle of a lone campfire."
Make this your year to explore the backcountry in Riding Mountain National Park. We'd be proud to take you there. |
